Our small groups are weekly times given to informally gather to build community and relationships, worship, pray and share the Lord's Supper.
Acts 2:42 says, “They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship (consisting) in the breaking of bread and prayer.”
We believe that God has left us patterns in the Bible that will help us to experience the dynamic spiritual synergy that the early church experienced in its infancy. In Acts 2:42 and following, Luke gives us a helpful summary of the pattern of life the early believers devoted themselves to following Pentecost. The Scripture says the Church was living in authentic community centered around Christ, and sharing a common lifestyle strengthened and grounded through God's Word, prayer and partaking of the bread and cup (the Lord's Supper).
When we gather together weekly in small groups we bring our focus squarely on Jesus and share from our hearts and what He is speaking to us from the Word of God - with each given the opportunity to participate. Out of this sharing time, we usually go into a time of prayer and then partake together of the Lord's Supper (bread and juice). The small group setting is vital to the growth of the individual and the community as a whole, and we believe these gatherings are just as important as the larger group gatherings on Saturday nights. Come out and build up your faith!
Children and Young Families The small group gatherings are informal times to build community for the whole family. We value children and the younger generation greatly and welcome and invite them to be a part. Due to the unique nature of each meeting, each individual group will decide how to best incorporate children into the gathering based upon need, space and resources.
