He Is Our Peace
It was nearly daybreak and I was drifting from sleep to awake but not quite fully awake and I became aware that the Lord was speaking to me about His peace. I could hear His voice in my mind quoting various scriptures and then explaining them to me like a teacher would do. Then I heard, "You need to prepare your heart to be ready for the storms that are coming. Remember, I am your high tower." And then I remembered Proverbs 18:10, "The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run into it and are safe." As I thought about that, He then said, "Run into Me! Learn to hide yourself in Me. I am your high tower. I am your peace." There was an urgency in His voice and I knew that this was a very important word. I had been hearing so much about the dangers and difficulties that our nation is facing and interceding day by day. So I realized He wanted me to learn to daily run into Him and know the peace that passes all understanding (Phil 4:7). His peace is a supernatural peace that is not affected by outward circumstances. When our second son was born, the doctors told us that he would not live and even if he did live he would be mentally retarded. Of course, we prayed and sought the Lord and He spoke a scripture to me, assuring me that our son would not die. I remember the peace of God enfolded me like a warm blanket and continued to do so no matter what the doctors said, until Mark was healed and went home from the hospital. Beloved, He is our Peace!
